Sitting in the balcony of my high-rise apartment, reminiscing school life, the teachers, the canteen, the building, the playground and most of all, my friends. I wrote these few lines, to honor every person I met in that school, right from Mohun bhaiya, who released us from the paltry lectures by ringing the bell, to the principal, whose office I frequented. I thank you all for coming into my life, for it is because of you , I am who I am.
Memories
People come and go,
but their memories remain.
The echoes of their laughter,
the shadows of the pain.
People come and go,
but their memories remain.

i liked the poem it has an underlying sense of beauty and tragedy that really struck me.
Lovely poem - short and complete.
Care for an inversion?
Memories come and go,
but people remain.
The echoes of the past,
the shadows of the future.
Memories come and go,
but people remain.
